WorkWear Essential: Pencil Skirt

Hey Divas!!

This post is in continuation to my previous blogs on workwear fashion. This one’s very special to me as I am wearing my favorite attire, pencil skirt and colors, beige and white. I personally believe a beige pencil skirt and a pair of nude pumps ought to be a part of every working girl’s wardrobe.

Why do I LOVE pencil skirts?

One of the most polished and professional-looking attires for workwear is a pencil skirt. The skirt can be extremely versatile from giving a classic to chic to fun look. It can be paired with a top, a jacket or an overcoat suiting every kind of weather and occasion. A perfect lady boss outfit.

I am wearing a tucked in white embellished shirt from Dorothy Perkins with beige pencil skirt from Forever21. What I loved the most about the shirt is it’s studded collar. The intricate detailing was so clean and fine that I could not resist buying it. I bought it online from Jabong and it turned out to be a safe bet. I am loving how beautifully its merging with my beige skirt. To add a final touch to the look I am wearing a pair of nude pumps and here I am, all set for 9 to 5. Oh hey, how can I enter office without my hand bag? My black beauty from Van Heusen (in it’s full poise) is accompanying me to work (almost everyday, now)

Since I mostly stay home with my boys, pencil skirts aren’t in my wardrobe as often as they used to be. I love the classic shape and when I did need to dress professional, pencil skirts were my go-to! You look gorgeous and polished.
